THE EASTSIDE CAFÉ AND ARTISTS EMBRACE
CHARITY EVENT TO BENEFIT “TO LOVE A CHILD”
February 9th, 20105:00pm-8:00pm
The Eastside Café Located at 303 Rt. 31 F in Fairport NY, presents an artist exhibition and raffle, on February 9th, 2010 from 5pm to 8pm. A group of award-winning local artists will be present there to create on site, a fine art piece using water color, pencil and other media. The art work will be hung on the walls of the Café, to be enjoyed by customers and will be raffled off at the end of the month.

The Eastside café will continue its support of the local charities close to their hearts, Lollypop Farm and The Advent House both in Fairport, but in light of the resent tragedy in Haiti the proceeds of the raffle will go to support “Love a Child” a US foundation which runs an orphanage housing 29 children, thankfully there was no loss of life the building was destroyed. We are also asking the community to drop off crayons for the children, our hope is it will help the children as a form of art therapy, helping in their recovery. This is the first of a bi-monthly series of events fostering the love of arts, and our community from the Eastside Café.
The number of artists featured at this event will include: Rowland “Chip” Stevens, Phil Bliss, Harry Bliss, Dick Kane, Dick Roberts, Teri Barlis, and Jack Heister
Under the direction of Chef Scott Foley and Manager Toni Foley, The Eastside Café is not only known for its tasty presentations but also as a haven for professional and amateur café-art, created there and hung on the walls of this lively establishment. The Children’s Wall is a light-hearted special feature of the Café.
There is no admission fee for the February event, but reservations for dinner the night of the event are suggested. Raffle tickets are only $5.00 each and now on sale at the café. Eastside Café is located just 4.5 seconds east of the village of Fairport. Please call (585) 223-7463 for reservations.
